Giving Back to our Community
Since opening the doors in 2002, Howie has believed that a great pizza shop should be more than just a place to grab dinner. From day one, Howie’s Pizza has made it a priority to give back to the community that has supported us for over two decades. In fact, we have been here long enough and been fortunate enough to serve three generations of customers in our community.
What started as a small, family-run pizzeria quickly became part of the neighbourhood — and with that came a responsibility to show up, lend a hand, and support the people who walk through our doors every day.
Supporting Schools & Kids
One of Howie’s biggest passions has always been supporting kids and schools in the community. Over the years, we’ve proudly helped local schools through lunch programs, food & financial donations, and community initiatives aimed at making sure kids are fed, supported, and smiling.
Howie’s Pizza also works closely with local youth sports teams, because as an avid sports fan himself, Howie knows just how important community sports are, and we’re proud to support the teams that keep kids active, engaged, and connected.
From classroom lunches to school events, Howie believes that something as simple as a hot meal can make a real difference — especially for kids in the neighbourhood who love to walk over at lunch to chat with Howie and get a great slice of pizza!
More than Pizza
Giving back doesn’t always mean big events or formal programs. Sometimes it’s handing out candy to neighbourhood kids on Halloween, supporting a local fundraiser, or saying yes when a school or team needs a little extra help. We have even been fortunate enough to see some of our youngest customers come back and get their first jobs in our kitchen, paying it forward to other customers in the community.
